Add new MRP after changes in GST rates

Union Minister for Consumer Affairs Ram Vilas Paswan said on Wednesday that after the change in tax rates on 200 goods by the GST (goods and services tax) council on November 10, the same account will now have to print the new maximum sales price (MRP) . Paswan said that action will be taken against those who do not do this.

He said that the producers will have to apply the old MRP with reduced MRP so that the benefits of the reduction in GST rates can be given to the customers.

Paswan told reporters, "On the goods that have been reduced GST prices, they have to sell it with the new MRP. Customers should be given the benefit. Notification has been issued in this regard. ' He said, 'We have written a letter to the Legal Metrology Department for taking action against those who did not comply. Customers will also be able to register a complaint on the National Customer Helpline. " This change came into effect on Wednesday.
